Whether you call us, send us an email or chat to us online, we’ll help you find the right support.
In 2016, 1,261 people contacted CABA for direct support, over the phone, using our online chat facility and via email. We received over 1,740 queries, all for different reasons. Our advice and information officers took time to understand the individual circumstances and needs of each person, considering every aspect of their wellbeing and ensuring they went on to receive the support they needed, when they needed it.
In many cases, our advice and information officers helped people find the right place to look for information.
Whether by signposting to our own website and online resources, to organisations such as ICAEW, HMRC, Citizens Advice, the NHS or to other relevant charities, we were able to help people find the information and advice they needed quickly.
48% of people who contacted CABA in 2016 went on to work with our support officers and service partners on a one-to-one basis. This tailored support helped individuals and families work through complex situations with health and carer support, debt advice, career coaching, emotional support and financial assistance. In 2017 we aim to further improve the accessibility of our services, ensuring that wherever people are in the world, and whatever their circumstances, they’re able to get in touch and find the right support.

The number of users reported is based on the number of unique IP addresses used, which can lead to inaccuracies. For example, one user may access our online resources via multiple devices, each with a different IP address, meaning one person could be counted as multiple users. Conversely, some people may share an IP address, for example when using a home computer, meaning that multiple people are counted as only one user.
